Trusting God with Our Families

At any given moment, there are a thousand thoughts running through our minds.

We wonder if our kids are safe and healthy and smiling. We wonder if our spouse is happy and comfortable and thriving. Why? Because we know the millions of things that could go wrong.

We know that our kids may face anything from a skinned knee to a serious health diagnosis. We know that our spouse may come home without a job or not come home at all. And so our minds begin whirring with all the possibilities, and we crave control.

But God doesn’t give us control. Instead, He asks us to trust Him.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'”

If we truly believe this, then we can trust that God is good and sovereign over everything–including our families. So be encouraged this week to turn your worries over to Him!
