Who Are You When No One’s Looking

Daily Huddle Matters

It’s easy to put on a performance for the world.

We smile and say the right things and do the right things. We fool people into thinking that we have it all together, that we are good and perfect and right.

But what really matters is how we act when no one is watching.

Do you do things differently when your boss turns his back? When your wife leaves the room? When the kids are asleep?

1 John 3:18 says, “Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” God is commanding us to act with integrity all the time. Not some of the time. Not most of the time. Not when you know people are watching. No, God wants us to do good ALL the time!

So take some time this morning to pray and ask God to point out the areas where you tend to be inauthentic. Ask Him to help you overcome those temptations and better point people to Him.
