Honoring God in the Highs and Lows of Life

For most of us, we relate to God in two ways.

We praise him when things are going right and we make requests when things are going wrong.

But in 1 Peter 1:6-7, we’re encouraged to act otherwise:

In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”

Instead of saving our praise for when everything is going well, we’re called to “greatly rejoice” no matter what life is throwing our way.

So this week, we want to encourage you to praise God through the disappointments of life! Rejoice in your sufferings because they only give you a deeper understanding of how Christ suffered for you.
