How to Cheer on Your Spouse

There’s a spot in your spouse’s heart that only YOU can fill. They need you to be their best friend, their soulmate, their teammate. But they also need you to be their biggest fan!

That’s why we’re sharing 3 ways to cheer on your spouse…

  1. With your Words. First and foremost, you should cheer on your spouse with your words! You can do this by leaving them notes around the house, by listing out all the ways you’re thankful for them, or even by sharing why you’re proud of them. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21
  2. With your Time. Another way to cheer on your spouse is by spending time with them. Bring them flowers at work, watch them play in their weekly softball game, or take a walk together. Because sometimes the best way to cheer on your spouse is to fill them with moments of love. “Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5
  3. With your Resources. And finally, be sure to cheer on your spouse with your resources. Maybe you’re a good cook with a kitchen full of yummy food and can make them a special meal. Maybe you are musically talented on a piano and can write a song for them. Whatever it is, be sure to use your resources to serve your spouse well! “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25
