A Quick Reminder: It’s Not About Us

We tend to be selfish people. We tend to make decisions that benefit us. We tend to have our best interests at the forefront of our minds.

But what if we were selfless people? What if we made decisions that honored God above all else? What if we had God’s glory at the forefront of our minds?

In a world that constantly promotes the self, we wanted to take some time today to remind you that it’s all about God with Philippians 2:9-11 which says,

“For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Even though it’s easy in our world to focus on ourselves and our own pursuits and our own successes, remember that this isn’t how God intended it to be. We are meant to honor Him…and one day every knee will bow!
